Optical coherence tomography is an advanced method of imaging and measuring fine defects in the retina, vitreous, optic nerve and cornea of the eye. This technology has changed the landscape of our ability to diagnose, monitor and treat a plethora of eye anomalies.

This is the only confocal retinal scanner that provides a wide view true colour image of the retina. It has the ability to safely image infrared, red free and autofluorescence images. Autofluorescence is a safe, non-invasive method of imaging damaged retinal cells as well as anomalies not readily observed on routine examination.

This technology allows the measurement of side or peripheral vision which is vital in cases of injuries, tumours, aneurysms, etc… along the optic nerve and brain. It is important in measuring damage in glaucoma and specific retinal diseases.

This technology maps the contours of the  clear structure at the front of the eye called the cornea. It maps the front corneal surface, back corneal surface and takes microscopic measurements allowing for the diagnosis and treatment of multiple corneal diseases.
